Outreach Committee
We are actively seeking to develop relationships with community-based organizations that need support from AWIS UC Riverside. We are currently involved in the Riverside Family Fun Days, where we help teach children about the wonders of science! As a joint project with Fox Theatre, we do small science projects with children in downtown Riverside during the first Sunday of every month. The Outreach Committee works closely with the Outreach Chair in planning, promoting, and volunteering at AWIS UC Riverside outreach events.
Program Committee
One of the primary goals of the AWIS UC Riverside chapter is to support our members, and we achieve this through offering engaging events such as: guest presentations, networking opportunities, mentoring. The Program Committee works closely with the Program Chair in planning, promoting, and volunteering at AWIS UC Riverside program, networking, and professional development events.
Social Committee
Building a supportive and collaborative community is very important to the AWIS UC Riverside chapter, and we accomplish this not only through program events but also through our social events. The Social Committee works closely with the President and Vice President in planning, promoting, and volunteering at AWIS UC Riverside social events.
Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained."
